Blood Omen 2 is the sequel to Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, following Kains story in the centuries after the Collapse of the Pillars. It relives stress, provides an in-depth, dark, almost noir-style story that motivates you forward, and shows a dark and gothic environment that provides plenty of mystery, blood, and adventure. Blood Omen 2 take the good way to show to us how a vampire can be, because they are like they are supposed to be in the game.

Gameplay is further enhanced by the addition of such 'vampirical' abilities as floating, turning into mist, possessing people, telekinesis, and 'immolating' people with your eyes. Ugly, evil and, er, dead, the vampire Kain was one of the first video game anti-heroes when he made his debut in. But, the lopping off heads and the running through and the blood-sucking provides an almost relaxing release from reality. Kain began the game with two Dark Gifts, Mist and Fury and through the game Kain could obtain and use (to a lesser extent) the abilities of the 'traitor' vampires upon defeating them by ' absorbing their veins '. The gameplay is both entertaining and VERY violent. Blood Omen 2, like Soul Reaver before it, featured a set of evolved vampire abilities - known as 'Dark Gifts' in Blood Omen 2. The environments, while graphically moderate are filled with intrigue. Goodness, what a game this is! Kain has reprised his role as the nobleman turned Vampire from the original Blood Omen, and this time he's angry! The game itself looks great filled with demons, aliens, zealous humans, and, of course, Vampires.
